ITA ON TOUR CYPRUS 18 – 19 October 2025

 

All ITA ON TOUR masterclasses will take place at Lefkosia Youth Ballet studios (Lefkosia Youth Ballet)  Vyzantiou 3, Lakatamia 2322, Nicosia, Cyprus.The Ballet masterclasses will be held by two important International Guest Dance Teachers:

  • Mr Michele Vegis – ITA Ambassador & Talent Scout – Former Dancer at La Scala – Bolle & Friends Ballet Master
  • Mr Francesco Mariottini – Former Principal Dancer with Les Ballets de Monte Carlo (France) – International Contemporary Dance Teacher 

The INTERNATIONAL TALENT AWARD training also offers many additional opportunities. During the masterclasses Mr Michele Vegis and Mr Francesco Mariottini will select and recommend talented participants for the following:

1. Notification to send without payment the video for admission to the Ballet and Contemporary Competition as soloist at the 𝕀ℕ𝕋𝔼ℝℕ𝔸𝕋𝕀𝕆ℕ𝔸𝕃 𝕋𝔸𝕃𝔼ℕ𝕋 𝔸𝕎𝔸ℝ𝔻 Final which will be held in Italy – Cattolica from 19 to 22 February, 2026.

2. Admission to the Special Ballet Repertoire Masterclasses with ITA GODMOTHER 2026 (more details will be announced at a later date, please note that the Godmother is a very special guest and/or prestigious artist).

3. Admission to all 𝑮𝑹𝑨𝑵𝑫 𝑨𝑼𝑫𝑰𝑻𝑰𝑶𝑵𝑺 for International Ballet Academies. 

4. Admission to special masterclasses with ITA Guest Artists and Artistic Directors of International Ballet Academies.

5. Admission to the special workshop ITA 2026 ARTISTS IN RESIDENCE IN THE COMPANY with choreographer Stephen Delattre. This is a 4-days intensive workshop in Cattolica from Thursday 19th to Sunday 22nd February 2026 for students from age 15 and over. The participants will perform as a group in the Final ITA GALA 2026 that will take place in Cattolica at Teatro della Regina on Sunday 22nd February 2026.

6. Opportunities for many other scholarships.

M°MICHELE VEGIS

M°FRANCESCO MARIOTTINI

 

A few words about M°MICHELE VEGIS

 

Michele Vegis was born in Sarnico (taly), he graduated at the London Studio Centre, under the direction of David Wall and Margaret Barbieri.

 

He was appointed Soloist in Verona’s Arena’s Ballet Company.

In 2000 he graduated, with Distinction, as a Teacher specialising professional and semi-professional levels with the Royal Academy of Dance – London.

 

He danced with the Teatro alla Scala di Milano until 2010.

He was guest teacher in Italy, Oslo, Portugal, Mexico, South Africa, and for the Singapore Dance Theatre.

 

He restaged, for selected students, “La Bayadére”, “Don Quixote” ,“Coppelia and “Raymonda” at Teatro Amintore Galli in Rimini with Principals dancers from Bulgarian State Opera and The Royal Ballet London.

 

He was assistant choreographer of Gianluca Schiavoni’s “Alice in Wonderland” at the Estonian National Ballet directed by Linnar Loris.

From 2016 he is guest teacher and stage director for “Roberto Bolle and Friends” in Italy, China, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

 

He is Ambassador, Talent Scout and guest teacher for International Talent

Award .

 

He is now based in Sarnico – Italy and is a guest teacher in many schools and dance companies in Italy, and around the world.

A few words about M°FRANCESCO MARIOTTINI

 

Francesco Mariottini was born in Jesi, Italy on the 6th November 1985.  He started modern dance classes in his hometown at the age of 11.  In 2000, he received a scholarship to Florence to the school of ‘Balletto di Toscana’ and ‘Opus Ballet’, under the direction of Cristina Bozzolini and Rosanna Brocanello. Here he attended classes in classical technique and contemporary dance.  He also attended several courses with teachers of international standing including Stefania Di Cosmo, Victor Litvinov, Raffaele Paganini, Marco Pierin, Frederic Olivieri, Fabrizio Monteverde, Bruno Collinet.  In the following year he performed in Daniel Tinazzi’s musical ‘Passeggeri’ and he performed soloist roles created by Fabrizio Monteverde, Orazio Messina, Rosanna Brocanello, Arianna Benedetti, Daniel Tinazzi and Alessandro Bigonzetti with BdT Youth Company.  At the age of 18, he joined the Corp di Ballet of Stuttgart Ballet performing classical and contemporary repertoire (Romeo and Juliette, The Sleeping Beauty, Onegin, Taming of the Shrew and A streetcar named Desire, which were based on choreography by John Cranko, John Neumeier and Marcia Haydee).  In September 200,5 he joined Aterballeto, under the direction of Mauro Bigonzetti – here he had the opportunity to perform soloist roles in several theatres around the world including New York, Houston, Mexico, China, New Zealand and in most European cities.  In 2007/2008 he participated in the seventh edition of Amici di Maria De Filippi where he reached the finals and received the Critics Awards.  At the end of the project, he participated as a professional in the musical IoBallo and in the TV production of Il Ballo delle Debutanti.  Since 2008 he has specialized in teaching Modern and Contemporary dance, and he became the Artistic Director of Umbria Ballet School in Gubbio.  In January 2010 he joined the professional cast of dancers for ‘Amici di Maria De Filippi’.  Following this, he performed in various galas and dance soirees as a guest and free lance dancer. He set up a collaboration with the new Italian dance companies Emox balletto directed by Beatrice Paoleschi as well as with MM Contemporary Dance Company, under the direction of Michele Merola.  In September 2015 he joined the German Company Stadttheater Giessen-Tanzcompagnie’ as a soloist and the following year he joined Balletto di Monte-Carlo directed by jean-Christophe Maillot and under the chairmanship of  H.R.H. Princess Caroline of Hannover.  Currently, Francesco is a principal Soloist with this company.
